Morocco: Boy trapped in well found dead after 4-day rescue effort | DW News

In Morocco, rescue workers have pulled the body of a boy from a well he'd fallen into and been trapped in for four days.
Five-year-old Rayan's lifeless body was carried by first responders to an ambulance. Crowds had been flocking to the village of Ighran to cheer on the rescuers. Several attempts were made to lift the boy out of the well, but in the end a horizontal trench had to be excavated to reach him.
